Mr. Allaire Homburg came to USD 271 as superintendent in 2009, bringing with him many years of teaching experience. He first taught at Natoma from 1967 to 1971, and, even during a decade of selling insurance, has always been involved in education.

“I’m looking forward to working with and watching the students. I like to watch effort."

After his first teaching job at Natoma, from 1967 to 1971, Homburg went to graduate school in 1971, and then was principal at Quinter from 1972-1977, including the 1973 football season where Quinter was undefeated.
From 1977 to 1988, Homburg sold insurance, but he stayed active in the school board in Sharon Springs, and later taught at Colby Community College for a year.
Homburg was superintendent both at Weskan, from 1988 to 1994, and then at Quinter from 1994 to 2008.
